    • Origins
Georges Issenart was the son of unknown parents.[1]

      Life
The history of the Isenart/Ysenart/Issenart family was researched by Dr. Albert Bernard in his work Histoire de Landres:

"We do not really know the origin of the Issenarts; the very spelling of their name is most variable (it is true that the thing was most common in the Middle Ages); we find Isnard (charter of 1529), Issnart (confession of 1523), Ysnart (act of 1475), Yssenart (parchment of 1547), Hissenard (tomb of African de Chamisso ij in the church of Andevanne). We will stick to the usual Issenart form (1).
We encounter this name for the first time around 1420, when Marguerite Issenart married Valtrin de Nettancourt, seigueur d'Autrecourt, widower of Claude de Lucy.
Everything suggests that the Issenart family originated from Dun-sur-Meuse. We are indeed aware of a Georges Issenart, who, on October 22, 1463, held the fiefdom of Jehan de Brieulles in Dun — the fiefdom of des Autels (1).
According to M. de Souhesme, this Georges Issenart had married Jehanne de Verny: from this marriage came Geoffroy, whom we will find as Lord of Landres, and Jehanne. The research of Didier Richier (2) tells us that "in the year 1473, Antoine de Heulles, (3) son of Jehan de Heulles and Marie de Lorgies (4) (alias de Mortre) (5) print in marriage damsel Jehanne Ysnard, residing in Dun-le-Chastel, daughter of the late Georges d'Ysnard, squire, and of damsel Jehanne de Verny, wife, buried and interred in the parochial church of said Dung, being said Georges captain and provost of said place. In the descendants, we find Albert de Heulles who sells on April 20, 1597 the stronghold of the Altars to Albert de Chamisso (1).”[1]
      Marriage and Children
He married Jehanne de Verny, daughter of unknown parents.[1] They had children:

Guillaume Issenart, Seigneur de Landres, killed before 5 Apr 1529, restitution paid by Loys de Pouilly for his death.[1]
Geoffroy Issenart, Seigneur de Issenart following his brother's death, married Beatrix de Grandpré, the daughter of Gobert de Grandpré and Claude du Bois.[2]
      Death
      He died before 1473.[1]
