- Origins
Jehanne de Verny was the daughter of unknown parents.[1]
Life
The history of the Isenart/Ysenart/Issenart family was researched by Dr. Albert Bernard in his work Histoire de Landres:
According to M. de Souhesme, this Georges Issenart had married Jehanne de Verny: from this marriage came Geoffroy, whom we will find as Lord of Landres, and Jehanne. The research of Didier Richier (2) tells us that "in the year 1473, Antoine de Heulles, (3) son of Jehan de Heulles and Marie de Lorgies (4) (alias de Mortre) (5) print in marriage damsel Jehanne Ysnard, residing in Dun-le-Chastel, daughter of the late Georges d'Ysnard, squire, and of damsel Jehanne de Verny, wife, buried and interred in the parochial church of said Dung, being said Georges captain and provost of said place. In the descendants, we find Albert de Heulles who sells on April 20, 1597 the stronghold of the Altars to Albert de Chamisso (1).”[1]
