This was a civil marriage in 1810. They married again in the church at Ste. Anne's in Penetanguishene 1832. The parents of Marie were
    Zacharie Clourier and Marie Josephte Manitoukie m.Nov.21, 1780 one day after Marie was baptised.(Oka, L'Annonciation-de-la-Bienheurese-Vierge-Marie church records) Marie is described as Sauteux (Chippawa or Ojibwa) placing her origin as north of Lake Huron and east of Lake Superior in the same area as Drummond Island. Although I have not been able to find the parents of Marie Manitoukie (there are various spellings of Manitoukie) I keep looking.
