1. | DAVISSON Peyton was born on 20 Jun 1829 in Johnson Co., IN (son of DAVISSON Hezekiah and BRISTOW Hannah); died on 28 Jan 1917. Notes: PEYTON DAVISSON was born in Johnson County, Ind., June 20, 1829. His father, Hezekiah Davisson, was born in Virginia in 1780, and his mother, Hannah (Bristol) Davisson, in Kentucky, September 29, 1796. The family moved to Illinois when Peyton was quite young, where he went to school and worked on the home farm until 1848, when the family returned to Indiana and located in Jasper County. In 1856, Peyton came to this township and went into business as cabinetmaker, undertaker and dealer in household furniture at Francesville. October 18, 1860, he married Nancy Jane Comstock, who has borne him four children - Emeline, July 18, 1861; Mary C., April 2, 1867; Hettie, November 18, 1872 (now deceased), and Rosa Irena E., April 4, 1874. Mr. Davisson’s grandfather was a soldier throughout the Revoluntionary war, and died at the age of one hundred and four; Hezekiah Davisson was a soldier of the war of 1812, and August 15, 1862, Peyton Davisson enlisted in Company G, Ninth Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and fought at Perrysville, Ky., at Stone River and in various skirmishes. He was taken ill at Readyville, Tenn., and was confined in hospital nearly a year; was transferred to the invalid corps and remained with it unitl discharged, January 5, 1865; he then came home and resumed his business. He now resides on his farm, adjoining the town on the north. Peyton married COMSTOCK Nancy Jane on 18 Oct 1860. Nancy was born on 15 Mar 1833; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] Children:

4. | Sr. Isaac Davisson was born in 1746 in Millstone River, Middlesex Co., NJ (son of Sr. Obadiah Davisson and Elizabeth); died on 17 Oct 1847 in Madison, Clark Co., OH. Notes: In his Revolutionary War pension application November 12, 1832, Isaac stated that he was a son of Obadiah Davisson, that he lived in Harrison County, VA during the Revolution, That he was a brother of Major Daniel Davisson, that he was 86 years old, and a resident of Johnson County IN at that time. He stated that he volunteered as a ranger in a company officered by Captain James Booth, Lieutenant John Tucker and Ensign John Tucker about July 1, 1775. The following year, he was engaged as a spy under his brother, Major Daniel Davisson. Isaac married ANDERSON Isabella on 25 May 1779 in Harrison Co., WV.
