originally owned by Vryling Stodard. It is not
known how Richard came to own the land.

his brothers, John and Gerrish, or poss.
with relatives of his deceased wife. She had
a sister, Elizabeth who mar. Amos Atwood
and were residing at Lempster, just a few miles
away.
