  Notes	== Biography ==Marie Geneviève Toussignan was born on 31 Mar 1732 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Louis parish in Lotbinière, Canada, Nouvelle-France. She was the daughter of [[Tousignant-35|Jean Baptiste Noel Tousignant]] and [[Méthot-112|Anne Charlotte Metot]]. At age 24 Geneviève married Jean Baptiste Hamel on 16 Aug 1756 in Saint-Louis parish in Lotbinière, Canada, Nouvelle-France. There were seven known children born into this marriage.
