Note: On many baptism records place of birth is not noted as such, on some after they moved from Montreal island the place of residence is noted as Côte de Lauzon, with many baptisms being done in Sillery or Québec city some time after the births. From census records, they were residing in said Côte de Lauzon throughout those years, which would mean those children were actually born there.

      variant Birth info:

      1638 12 Jan (unsourced)
      St-Germain-du-Val, France
As the parish records for Saint-Germain-du-Val available on-line only begin in 1673, some twenty years after Jeanne emigrated, birthdates for she and her parents are apparently speculative. The family names for her father and mother as given do not appear in those records, however there is mentioned the couple Michel Vaidye and Catherine Dolbeau whose son Michel married in 1677 in this parish. The names Vaidye (with many variant spellings) and Dolbeau are both prevalent here, and it seems likely that these were the intended and correct surnames for Jeanne’s parents.
