In 1681, they were resident of the seigneurie de Lotbinière: '''Recensement 1681 Census''': Seigneurie de Lotbinière::Jean Baudet 31 ; Marie Grandin, sa femme, 30 ; enfants : Marie 10, Simone 8, Charles 5, Louis 2, Jeanne 15 jours ; 1 fusils ; 1 vache ; 3 arpents en valeur.Recensements de 1666-1667-1681 en Nouvelle-France, référant au chapitre IV du livre Histoire des Canadiens Français de Benjamin Sulte, compilés par Jean-Guy Sénécal le 17 mars 1998 Jacques was not yet born then from all evidence. In 1689, per the marriage of their daughter Simone, they were still resident in that location.
