- Pierre Saint-Denis was born about 1646 in Dieppe, Normandy, to his parents Pierre Saint-Denis and Vivienne Brunel, who were married at Saint Jacques de Dieppe about 1644. He immigrated to Canada with his parents about 1662.
Pierre married Marie Madeleine Thibierge, a Fille du Roi, on 13 Sep 1670 in Chateau-Richer, Quebec. Pierre and Marie-Madeleine settled at Sainte-Famille, lle d'Orléans, where they had 4 children[1]
1) Pierre was born about 1672 (Not listed on the 1681 census and not on PRDH family record #3296)
2) Anne, born about 1674 (Not listed on the 1681 census and not on PRDH family record #3296)
3) Marie, bp 25 March 1676, married Pierre Courtou on 25 Jun 1691 (On 1681 census at 5 years old and is listed on PRDH family record #3296)
4) Hippolyte, bp 26 March 1679 (Not listed on 1681 census, is listed on PRDH family sheet #3296)
Pierre Saint-Denis died 11 December 1696 and was buried the next day at Sainte-Famille.
