  Notes	Elisabeth was the heiress of Mareuil-sur-Ay and Neufchâtel-sur-Aisne. She first married Robert seigneur de Montaigu, and following his death she remarried circa 1147 to Guiscard de Roucy heir to the County of Roucy with whom she had several children:[1][2] Raoul who succeded his father as Count of Roucy Jean who succeeded his brother as Count of Roucy Ebles chanoine de Rheims Guiscard or Richard (d.s.p. mentioned in 1170 but not in 1182) Henry died 1192-1196 Eustachie successor to the county of Roucy after her two brothers Béatrix an additional daughter (per Anselme not mentioned in 1170 or 1182) As a widow, Elisabeth referred to herself as dame de Neufchâtel, former countess of Roucy. Noted in acts of the early 13th century, she died after 1202. Research notes Because she was the heiress to Mareuil-sur-Ay and Neufchâtel-sur-Aisne -one to the north of Rheims, the other to the south; she is believed to be the daughter of a local noble Jean de Mareuil. As the three eldest sons are named with their parents in a record of 1168 that also refers to other brothers and sisters it is possible the family of eight children was complete before that year, suggesting a marriage date for the couple in the 1140's.
