  Notes	Research Notes Godehilde's parents are unknown; Baldwin does not even cite Hilduin among the conjectured fathers. Many people have her as the daughter of Hilduin de Ponthieu & Hersende, but according to the dates that I have for the people involved, her parents are more likely: Father: Guillaume I Comte de Ponthieu Mother: Maude de St. Pol sur Mer de Therouanne Another possibility from a relatively respected secondary source: Moriarty, p. 12 states she was the sister of Seinfray Bishop of La Mans. If you go to google & use keywords: "francebalade creil" a website that uses French sources indicates she was "Godehilde, la soeur de l'Eveque du Mans Sigefroi" = Godehilde, the sister of Sigefroi, Bishop du Mans. Near the bottom of the webpage, it indicates: "Sigefroi Il est sans doute le neveu par sa mère de Mainard Eveque du Mans et de Raoul I Vicomte du Mans. C'est aussi le beau-frère de Yves de Belleme." = He was undoubtedly the nephew on his mother’s side of Mainard Bishop du Mans and Raoul I Vicomte du Mans. He was also the brother-in-law of Yves de Belleme. She has been detached from Hildouin III Ponthieu as her father due to lack of evidence. Buried at Notre Dame de Belleme.
