  Notes	According to Hervor's Saga, Angantyr was the son of Heidrek, the son of Hervor, and Helga, daughter of king Harald in Reidgotaland. He inherited Reidgotaland from his father. His half-brother Hlod demanded an equal share of the kingdom, but Angantyr denied his rights and offered him a third; insulted by the share and by words said at court, Hlod went to war against him with an army of Huns. Hlod was defeated, but their half-sister, the shieldmaiden Hervor who had fought on Angantyr's side, was killed in the attack. Angantyr ruled for many years.
