Biography
According to Ynglinga Soga, King Álfgeirr conquered all of Vingulmǫrk og set his son Gandalf to rule as king there. Álfgeirr og Gandalf also conquered most of Raumarike.
According to a genealogy in Flateyjarbók, Álfgeir was the son of king Álf the old of Alfheim. He was the father of:
Gandálf, father of
Álfhildr, mother of
Ragnar loðbrók, father of
Sigurðr orms-í-auga, father of
Áslaugr, mother of
Sigurd Hjort, father of
Ragnhildar, mother of
Harald Hårfagre.
