- BIOGRAPHY: According to "The Vassalls of New England" (pg 5): There was a Samuel Vassall graduated at Harvard College in 1695, of whom there is no further record, save that he bore the title of major, and was called "of Boston". He was, perhaps, an elder brother of William and Leonard.
